Built in the SDSU real campus' south western
style, this virtual meeting place serves the
Educational Technology Department as an online
campus with meeting halls, class rooms, library,
student/faculty recreation center, and a sand box
for building experiments in the virtual world.
Nominated as one of
the Seven Wonders of SL,
the SS Galaxy at over 1900 feet long, is the
single largest build in Second Life. And it
would be the largest cruise ship in the real
world too. The Galaxy is a full scaled, and
full featured cruise ship in SL. Anchored in
the Sagittarian Sea, the SS Galaxy spans 3
sims with more than 8 decks of fun and
entertainment. Proudly carrying on the
tradition of luxury , glorious, and
sophisticated floating palaces of the real
world, the SS Galaxy offers an array of
amenities and activities on board, and a
variety of staterooms & suites to chose
from, shopping, dining, gaming, and dancing.
This small but tranquil bamboo garden is the
Japanese restaurant on the SS Galaxy. With a tea
house, dinning service, and a sushi bar, all under
a starry night sky. This environment captures the
essence in style and proportion of Japanese
architecture.
This building was originally ordered as a
functional opera-house to stage live performances.
It was than converted into an observatory housing a
custom built telescope for viewing the virtual
night sky of Second Life. It's scale and elegance
has won the hearts of many SL residents. Making the
Polis Observatory one of the favorite spots in
Sagittaria Estate.
A small cozy river side tavern built for the
Elven theme sim of Eldamar. A perfect place to
enjoy the peace and quiet of the elven landscape.
Also was home to many book club and poetry reading
meetings. The barkeep Lloyd services up a special
ale that would knock your prim socks off! The
tavern has relocated as a feature of Al Nasl since
the removal of Eldamar.
A replica of the Louvre Museum for the South
Paris sim. It housed a functional art gallery and
was one of the most detailed real building replica
in Second Life for the time.
This project represent a fusion BSD style,
combining the gothic with the industrial, a mixture
of a castle and a factory. It serves the theme and
purpose of this landmark building in the virtual
landscape of Second Life.
